Sam:

1. Agreed, the Cotton Bowl should be a BCS bowl and the championship should simply rotate. Orange Bowl got two bowls this year, not fair.

2. A plus-one leaves us with the same problem we have now. It would be an improvement, but Texas and USC would have cried bloody murder if Utah played Florida for the title last January after the first games. Also, that would assume 1-2 don't play each other in the first bowl games, changes up quite a bit of things.

3. Strength of schedule is in the BCS formula, as all computer bowls use it as a factor in their rankings.

4. I COULDN'T AGREE MORE!

5. Agreed. All schools get the BCS wealth distributed equally. The only schools who get more are the ones who play in the actualy BCS games. Stupid that 0-12 Washington gets more money because of their conference affiliation. Totally unfair.

Five simple changes I will be advocating when the U.S. Senate calls me as an expert witness:

1. Return the Cotton Bowl to elite status.

2. Create a genuine plus-one title game on a rotating basis with one of the five major bowls.

3. Reinsert strength of schedule back into the BC$ formula.

4. Prohibit games between I-A and I-AA schools.

5. Make the basic annual BC$ payout to all 'member' schools equal. [This part is the real crime. I really don't think there's much wrong with the post season. I think with a plus-one under the current formula non-autobid schools could win the title if 'marquee' schools like Texas were forced to schedule like men. But why, if according BC$ contracts the MWC, WAC, MAC, Sun Belt and CUSA are full members of the system, does 0-12 Washington get a bigger slice of pie than a TCU team that could have eaten them for breakast?
