My College Football Man Cave
College football season is almost upon us. The excitement is tangibly in the air. So of course, to get ready I had to get my new man cave set up throughout the year. This year features a new 52″ plasma HD TV, leather sofa and love seat, lovesac and Tivo. I am so set to watch as many games as my wife will allow…usually one a week 
Now if only I could talk her into letting me get a pool table, then I’d have the ultimate set up. How is everyone else preparing for the upcoming season?

Not a permanent man cave yet, but I have dreams of making it permanent. A few times a year we bring 3 flat screens together, each with TiVO HD, and everyone brings thier laptop hooked through WiFi. We have non-stop football from 9:00 AM (West coast, do’ncha know)until 10:00 PM. Maybe some online betting, beer, and barbeque all day long. I’m bleary-eyed for days after a solid day of that kind of bliss.
As a newlywed, our apartment is small, our television is as well, but I did get one heck of a wife: She understands and acknowledges that Saturdays from September to December are for one purpose: college football. Sure, she’s a Tennessee fan, but it’s a small price to pay. No TIVO, but the DirecTV package lets me watch just about anything more relevant than a Southeast Missouri State game. Now I only have one problem: It’s not September yet…

I’m pent up in a New York City studio in a town that gives more attention to boring baseball than anything else. Some day I shall establish the cave to be sure!
