Thanks Arrow for continuing to prove my points time and again. I've said it before and I'll say it again- team zealots are completely ignorant of true facts and are nothing but biased sycophants. You can look that one up buddy, surely you folks at Alabama learn English.

Alabama owned the Shorthorns. BAMA had TWO Runningbacks with over a hundred yards. Both had TWO TD's and UT was suppose to have the best run defense in the National. Hell Bama ran all over that defense. Controvery, Please stop. Texas will fail to show up 2010 in the BCS Title Game. It will be Alabama vs Ohio St. Texas will find a way to lose.

The outcome might have been different...Bama would probably have scored more points, since McCoy would have thrown at least one pick, possibly more...that was the book on him...easy to intercept.

It was the Tide's year..plain and simple. I don't see anybody beating Bama this year, except perhaps Penn State in an upset, or maybe Ole Miss at Homecoming. They get the Gators at home, and will soundly smack them once again. The last time the Gators ventured into T'town, it was Meyer's first year, and they got hammered 31-3....look for it to be worse this time....

Spot on about McElroy, my bad.

Controversial? Alabama is the controversial champion for two reasons. One, the BCS makes everything controversial. Two, without their best player Texas still almost beat the Tide. It should have been painfully obvious to Alabama fans in the first 5 minutes that Texas was owning them with McCoy in the game.

Then with a true freshman who never played before they still almost win the game? Give me a break, Texas was the better team but caught a bad break by losing their best player. Longhorns by 10 if McCoy had stayed in the game.

Hence the controversy. Alabama won, but were they the best team in the land? To every non-biased fan in the country, Alabama was not the best team. Had McCoy played I guarantee you there would have been a different outcome, no doubt about it.

Alabama did not lose their starting QB. McElroy will be a senior this year and play for the Tide. They lost their starting defensive front which will be hard to replace, but they are loaded with talent there. Since when is taking someone's quarterback out of the game controversial? Alabama won period. McCoy didn't slip on a bar of soap. They ran a stupid play smack dab into Alabma's nasty defense and Marcel Darius made a clean hit to take him out.
