I need more convincing from either Oregon or Cal to unseat USC. Elite teams that lose great talent from a previous year often seem to repeat that previous year's success. USC is one of those reload-never-rebuild teams.

Notre Dame and LSU won't implode this year. Each team wins nine games.

You are right about the Big East sucking this year, but BCSWatch is also right that someone from that weak party will rep in the top 10 for a week or two.

Ok State is my surprise team this year. The Cowboys come out of the South and earn a berth in the BCS Championship Game, then will lose badly to Florida, for whom Tebow is too polite to think about his NFL chances. He'll be great again this year.

1 - Agreed.

2 - Tebow couldn't care less about the NFL. Florida will be as good or better than they were last year.

3 - I think the Big 12 South will be the class of college football.

4 - Agreed.

5 - Could be, but everything is cyclical in college football. The pendulum is due to start swinging the other way pretty soon. If Cal is the opponent it will probably be a close game. If USC is as good as USC always is, then all bets are off.

6 - The Big East is down again this year, for sure. I bet there will be at least one Big East team in the top 10 at some point this year.

7 - So who takes over the 7 slots? I think the top 10 looks pretty reasonable this year, except for LSU.

8 - Notre Dame will have a great season this year. There is no way they lose to Washington. They will have three losses at the most.

9 - I have Cal winning the PAC-10 as well. Actually I have USC coming in third.

10 - I agree that that game will have a huge say in who makes the title game - but I give Oklahoma State a little more credit than that. They are this years Texas Tech.
